FAQs
1. Where can I take the vehicle?
If you select the 200kms per day rate, there are no restrictions. If
you select the unlimited kilometre rate, the following restrictions
apply. You may take the vehicle up to 250kms from the pickup point. If
in doubt, please email
your enquiry.
2. Can I use someone else's credit card to pay for the rental?
Yes, a credit card authority form must be completed and approved by
the relevant city’s head office prior to the day of pickup. A credit
authority form is a legal document that allows a credit card holder to
grant permission for another person to hire a car under the credit card
holder’s name. Please contact our offices at your pickup location for further details.
3. Does Value Rentacar charge cancellation fees?
At most times throughout the year we would not charge a cancellation

are not notified of a cancellation at least 5 days prior to pickup if
the rental commences or finishes during school holiday periods.
4. If I lock the keys in the car will I get
Roadside Service?

notice as we pre-arrange the Rental Agreement. This can be reduced
significantly if you call us and have access to email and fax.
7. Can I extend the rental?
In most cases this can be done over the phone or by email. It might not
be possible during peak holiday periods.
8. Can anyone drive the car?
Only nominated drivers can drive the rental car.
9. What happens if I'm late returning the
vehicle?
We reserve the right to charge one-fifth of the daily rate per hour
late (or part thereof). So a full day's rental is charged after 5 hours.
10. How old do I have to be to rent a
vehicle?
For rentals commencing in Melbourne, the minimum age is 25. For other
cities, the minimum age is 21. Rentals for under 25 year olds
